Summer and yoga!
The summer months, for Traditional Chinese Medicine, are governed by the fire element, which is responsible for providing vital energy that governs the functions of the heart and small intestine. The most revered qualities of this element are the very important contribution of luminosity and heat, the generation of energy, which provides vitality and enthusiasm and above all, transformation.
In the oldest texts of the Inda, the Vedas, the fire element is associated with the energy center in charge of the processing of feelings and experiences, related to the will, personal power, authority, energy, self-control, luminosity, awakening, transformation, humor , warmth, strength and fullness, known as the solar plexus or "Manipura Chakra".
Manipura chakra is responsible for regulating the functioning of the digestive organs responsible for detoxifying, cleaning the blood, analyzing the nutrients in food and discarding what is not useful. It is also associated with the pancreas, whose function is the production of digestive enzymes and insulin, which regulates the amount of sugar in the blood.
Do not abandon your practice during the summer, but rather the opposite; Make it an ally to focus your personal power, assuming the challenges that lead you to develop confidence in your growth and inner development, redirecting the circulation of energy from the plexus to the heart.
